A woman is found murdered in a Dublin hotel room; shot twice. Investigations find a connection with other murders, which coincide with major bank heists, occurring just days before the robberies. Detective Jack Brody and his team hunt the killer, while navigating the politics of the police hierarchy.
As they close in on the perpetrator, his own team suspects he has, once again, succumbed to his indulgences and are weighing the pros and cons of his continued existence in the land of the living.
One way or another, this killer will have to face his demons, whether in the form of friend or foe.
This was an exciting read. Filled with complex characters and realistic interactions.
Real door-to-door investigative police work. Work the facts, follow the leads, trust your instincts and, sell it to your bosses.
How crime fiction should be done. If you’re intoxicated by police drama, this is for you. For fans of the Harry Bosch novels by Michael Connelly, you’ll certainly enjoy this.
Excellently constructed.
I highly recommend reading this novel.
